A small full-stack tool that turns a portrait into a standard 3×4 ID photo: interactive crop, background removal via a segmentation model, and a fixed 10×15cm print sheet laid out as eight copies. It's the project that has actually run unattended the longest, which surfaces a different kind of lesson than a case study about a single hard decision — mostly about what it takes for a small deployment to keep working without attention: reliable local storage with an optional legacy path to object storage, a persistence layer for job status, and a reverse proxy that has needed remarkably little babysitting.
